Job summary

Ambition in Johor, Malaysia seeks a Head of Manufacturing Transformation to own the manufacturing excellence agenda across a multi-site footprint, shaping strategy and scaling operations through lean, MES, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

You will lead a high-impact team, translate the global roadmap into Malaysia-wide plans, drive digital standardisation, automation, and sustained execution in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in manufacturing
• 8+ years in senior leadership of a 24/7, high-volume environment
• Solid MES experience and ability to partner across engineering, quality, and digital functions
• Deep lean and operational excellence credentials with demonstrable transformation results
• Strong change leadership capability, with experience in fast-growing Southeast Asian environment
• Regulated manufacturing background (healthcare/medical devices/pharma) preferred
• Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline; MBA advantageous

Responsibilities

• Translate the global manufacturing excellence roadmap into a Malaysia-wide plan covering MES, lean maturity, digital standardisation, and automation
• Drive MES deployment and embed consistent performance routines and visual factory practices across operations
• Build and deliver a pipeline of automation and Industry 4.0 use cases from pilot to scale
• Lead change management during rapid growth (readiness, training, communications, sustainment)
• Build and develop a high-performing transformation team across multiple sites
• Embed lean disciplines through structured problem solving, standard work, and continuous improvement routines
