Job summary

A leading electronics manufacturing company in Port Klang, Malaysia is seeking a qualified Training Coordinator to conduct training for new hires and existing employees on production processes, equipment operation, and safety standards. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing. Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and IATF16949:2016 is essential. This position involves developing training materials, assessing competencies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

To ensure employees are properly trained to perform their roles safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct training for new hires and existing employees on production processes, equipment operation, safety standards, and quality procedures.

Develop training materials, including manual, SOPs, work instructions, and visual aids.

Perform hands‑on demonstrations and provide on‑the‑job training (OJT) on manufacturing equipment and techniques.

Assess employee competencies through evaluations and skill assessments.

Maintain and update training records, certifications, and compliance documentation.

Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to identify training needs and address performance gaps.

Monitor training effectiveness and provide feedback and coaching as needed.

Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.).

Conduct audits and follow‑ups to ensure training is being applied on the production floor.

Ensure all training activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor Degree in Industrial / Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or related engineering degree required.
  2. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
  3. At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills
  1. Hand‑on experience with specific equipment or processes used in the industry (Assembly lines/ clean room operations/ Injection mold/ painting, etc.)
  2. Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015, IATF16949:2016 or other applicable standards.

Support any ad‑hoc duties assigned by the management as and when required.
