Job summary

A manufacturing company is looking for a highly capable manufacturing technician to join their production division. The role involves assembling product components, documenting production information, and performing routine maintenance on equipment. Candidates should have a minimum of SPM or a related certification, with welding certification considered an advantage. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and time management skills are essential. Familiarity with safety standards is required. This position is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

We are looking for a highly capable manufacturing technician to join our business's production division. You will be assembling product components, documenting production information, and performing routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.

Job Description

• Utilizes routine work orders and engineering drawing, written and/or verbal instructions to build and/or repair assemblies and components.
• Performs tasks such as Bending / Tacking / Welding / Tweaking / Leak-Testing.
• Observes all safety standards and maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment.
• Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly.
• Utilizes test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment and/or leak detectors to test assemblies and components.
• Receives parts and performs checks to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform built, test and repair. Inspects parts for defects.

Requirements

• Minimum completed SPM or possesses Certification/Diploma in any field.
• Possess certification in welding or any engineering field will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience working in a factory is beneficial.
• Ability to remain at workstation for prolonged periods.
• Written communication skills to read blueprints and work instruction.
• Attentiveness to detail to spot flaws in products or problems with equipment.
• Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot.
• Time management skills to produce the required number of parts or products each shift.
