Job summary

A leading electronics manufacturer in Bayan Lepas is seeking a Superintendent to oversee production planning and activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing performance metrics and ensuring quality standards. A degree in any discipline or a diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience is required. This position offers an opportunity to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic work environment.

• Plan and review resources based on production loading.
• Determine production plan & organize all production activities.
• Review daily production performance on Output and Quality.
• Coach and motivate Production Leaders and Operators.

Degree in any discipline

Diploma in any discipline with minimum 3 years related working experience

Job description

Plan and review resources require based on production loading & work in progress.

Determine production plan & organize all production activities.

Plan production run base on Production Schedule and forecast Schedule with Manpower.

Review daily production performance on Output, Yield, Quality and Productivity with subordinates.

Ensure the department reaches the targeted on-time delivery (OTD) with Optimum cycle time at the same time maintaining quality

Motivate Production Leaders and Operators towards line targets and quality status review.

To review & follow up unsolved issue with supporting group (ie: technician/engineer) to reduce high machine waiting time. Do escape to superior if necessary.

Interact effectively with upstream or downstream process personnel for push & pull strategy.

Accountable to machine planning & track the machine changeover rate & status.

Convey latest information from management to production team. (shifty demand, urgent device, recovery plan, shiftily committed date, etc)

Analyze quality issue (QDN / low tech issue / excursion) with root cause and drive for improvement plan.

Monitor operator performance, conduct compliance audit, enforce good discipline and 5S housekeeping.

Participating in continuous improvement programs (cost saving / productivity and efficiency)

Coach, consult and motivate leader & operators to improve weaknesses and widen up job responsibility in order to carry out their task effectively.

Provides explanation or hand‑on demo to the freshman or new operator who does not understand the work instructions or operation procedure particularly during on the job training.

Execute relevant disciplinary procedures in accordance to company policy.

Continuously find safety observation and/or near miss to create a safer work environment.
