Job summary

Kotra Pharma in Malaysia is seeking a Technical Engineer to support machine reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining production equipment, and driving efficiency improvements across the line, while ensuring cGMP and safety standards are met. You will guide junior engineers and collaborate with production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in machine maintenance, troubleshooting or engineering support in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of machine troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance practices and production machinery operations.
• Knowledge of cGMP and safety practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and perform root cause analysis.
• Monitor machine performance and implement preventive measures to improve efficiency.
• Handle machine setup, adjustment, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and provide technical support to production teams.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety and engineering standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance.
• Provide technical guidance to assistant engineers and production personnel.
