About the job

This position requires a Manufacturing Operator to support core production processes at the Penang facility. You will be responsible for operating and monitoring various production machinery, conducting in-process quality inspections, and performing basic maintenance to ensure minimal downtime. This role requires adherence to strict quality and safety standards (EHS, ISO, GMP) in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation and Monitoring: Set up and operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic machines in the manufacturing line. Monitor machine parameters such as speed, temperature, flow meters, and gauges.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Perform in-process quality inspections using appropriate tools (e.g., calipers, microscopes, micrometers). Comply with company policies on ISO standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Maintenance and Reporting: Conduct basic maintenance and adjustments to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate job reporting through ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Safety and Teamwork: Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies. Participate in team briefings and production meetings. Perform cross-functional duties in other production areas when required.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia. Able to perform basic arithmetic (fractions, decimals) and use measuring instruments. Familiarity with computer usage, with basic Microsoft Office knowledge as an advantage. Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
  • Personal Attributes: Willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced setting.
