Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Process & Production Engineer leader to oversee manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and drive efficiency across multiple business units. You will manage automation initiatives and lead Lean/Six Sigma programs to cut waste and costs.

The role requires coordinating with R&D, Quality and Operations, driving new product introductions, and mentoring a team of engineers to sustain high performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Hands-on experience in all quality department and has management experience.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in US based MNC is added advantage.
• Bridge/Toll allowances if applicable

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and standardize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Support production lines by troubleshooting technical issues and minimizing downtime.
• Drive process capability improvement (Cp/Cpk, yield, cycle time).
• Lead Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma initiatives across the plant.
• Identify waste and implement cost-saving projects.
• Champion 80/20 improvement, 6S, and value stream mapping activities.
• Lead engineering support for new product launches and ensure smooth ramp-up to mass production.
• Coordinate with R&D, Quality and Operations teams.
• Drive automation and digitalization initiatives (Industry 4.0 where applicable).
• Evaluate and implement new equipment, tooling, and technologies.
• Improve labor productivity through process innovation.
• Manage and coach a team of Manufacturing / Process Engineers.
• Build technical competency and succession plans.
• Set clear KPIs and performance goals for the team.
• Manage engineering-related CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• Deliver cost reduction targets (material, labor, overhead).
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as OEE and cycle time.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Purchasing and Planning.
• Act as the technical interface for customers and suppliers when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
