We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mandarin Teacher (January 2026) with a passion for teaching Key Stage 1-3 and IGCSE students. We are looking for an educator who demonstrates:
Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1-3 and IGCSE Mandarin curriculum, with the ability to teach engaging lessons covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Student-Centered Teaching: Ability to personalize lessons to meet the developmental needs of students transitioning from Key Stage 2 and progressing toward Key Stage 4.
Effective Assessment: Proficient in a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning.
Cross-Disciplinary Understanding: Awareness of how Mandarin integrates with other subject areas and supports broader academic development.
Engagement Strategies: Skills to foster curiosity, collaboration, and independent thinking in young learners.
A recognized teaching qualification and an Honours degree in Mandarin Language or a related discipline.
Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to reflective practice.
Deep understanding of the Key Stage 3 Mandarin curriculum and progression toward IGCSE.
Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and strategies for supporting EAL learners.
Experience in planning and delivering lessons and assessments that encourage inquiry-based learning and problem-solving skills.
