Qualifications

• Mandarin language skills: fluent speaking and writing, able to read and write Chinese characters.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Bachelor's degree in Chinese language/education or related field; teaching qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Mandarin lessons aligned with curriculum and objectives.
• Develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Mandarin.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, presentations, and assessments.
• Teach Chinese vocabulary, grammar, sentence structures, pronunciation and characters.
• Incorporate interactive activities, storytelling, role-play and multimedia resources to engage students.
• Adapt teaching methods for varied Mandarin proficiency levels and provide extra support as needed.
• Assess student progress through classwork, assignments, tests and exams.
• Provide constructive feedback and integrate Chinese culture into lessons.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and strong safeguarding practices.
