About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mandarin Teacher to join the team at Taska Cemerlang Intelek Plt. This is a full-time position based in Batu Pahat, Johor. As a Mandarin Teacher in our early childhood education setting, you will play a crucial role in introducing young learners to the Mandarin language and Chinese culture during their formative years. This position is essential to our mission of providing comprehensive, multilingual education that prepares children for a globalised world.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and delivering engaging Mandarin language lessons tailored to early childhood learners, incorporating age-appropriate activities, songs, games and storytelling
• Creating a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages children to develop confidence and enthusiasm in learning Mandarin
• Assessing children's progress in language acquisition and providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues
• Integrating Chinese cultural elements, traditions and celebrations into the curriculum to enrich children's learning experiences
• Collaborating with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early childhood education and language development
• Preparing learning materials, flashcards, worksheets and multimedia resources that support interactive Mandarin instruction
• Maintaining accurate records of children's attendance, achievements and developmental milestones
• Communicating effectively with parents regarding their children's language learning progress and development
• Participating in professional development opportunities and staying current with early childhood education best practices

What we're looking for

• A teaching qualification or certification in early childhood education, ideally with specialisation in language instruction
• Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience teaching Mandarin or another language to young children in an educational setting
• Strong knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methodologies and early childhood development
• Creativity and the ability to design engaging, interactive lessons that capture young children's attention and imagination
• Patience, compassion and genuine enthusiasm for working with children aged 2-6 years
• Excellent organisational and classroom management skills
• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain effective communication with parents
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Malay or other languages is advantageous
• A valid work permit or visa status that allows full-time employment in Malaysia
