Job summary

Hap Seng Building Materials Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Executive to handle daily finance tasks and support month-end closings in Sabah, West Coast. The role requires Mandarin proficiency to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients, and a solid grasp of accounting processes in a busy environment.

The successful candidate will post supplier invoices, manage bank reconciliations, perform creditor reconciliations, and assist in tax and audit analyses as part of a dynamic finance team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Experience in audit or financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Daily posting of supplier invoices, payment requisitions and claims.
• Update on bank transactions & reconciliations. Issue receipts and e-invoices.
• Creditor reconciliations.
• Monthly account closing and related analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of Tax & Audit analysis.
