Job summary

AIA Digital+ Malaysia is seeking an experienced development lead to drive Integral Life Delivery Management for the SG Tech team. You will oversee development, deployment and support of Integral Life applications, ensuring delivery meets business requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years in life insurance application development using Integral Life/Life Asia COBOL, with proficiency in AS400, COBOL, SMART/400, Control Language, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of AS400, COBOL, SMART/400, Control Language and SQL development.
• Has minimum 10 years of working experience in application development for life insurance domain using Integral Life/Life Asia COBOL system.

Responsibilities

• Act as team lead, accountable for team performance and development.
• Align expectations and goals with reporting managers.
• Involve in team resource planning and budgeting.
• Gather system requirements, perform impact analysis, propose solutions, and code develop.
• Unit testing, UAT support (incl. EOD batch) and deployment (BAU and Projects).
• Obey and follow prevailing SDLC, development and other standards.
• Deliver system results on scope, timeline, and quality.
• Provide management updates on system/project activities.
• Mentor juniors and participate in knowledge sharing and system upgrades.

Position Objective:

As a developer in Integral Life Delivery Management for SG Tech team, you're responsible for leading the development, deployment and support of Integral Life Application to meet business requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing solutions and development of new technical solutions to improve company's operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a team lead, accountable to the team performance and development.

Actively discuss with reporting manager(s) to align on expectations and goals setting for the team.

Involving in team resource plan and budgeting.

In charge of Integral Life system requirement gathering, impact analysis, propose solutions, code development, unit testing, UAT support (incl. UAT EOD batch support) and deployment (BAU and Projects).

Obey and follow on prevailing SDLC, Development, and other standards.

System delivery according to determined scopes, timeline, and quality.

Take accountability/supportive on production incident/problem tickets caused by any disobedience SDLC process.

Supportive to provide management updates on system/project related activities.

Understand functionalities and technical aspects of the system; analyze technical impact on interfacing systems.

To adhere to and support on Integral Life security, standard and compliance matters.

Actively participate in Team activities such sharing (knowledges, ideas etc.), mentoring, coaching (junior), system upgrade/maintenance etc.

Degree in IT or related areas.

Has minimum 10 years of working experience in the application development for life insurance domain using Integral Life/Life Asia COBOL system.

Fast learner and has strong analytical and impact analysis skills to provide feedbacks/inputs on user requirements.
