Job summary

A leading tax advisory firm in Malaysia is seeking a Tax Advisor to support the Tax Directors in delivering advisory services and conducting training on tax-related topics. Candidates must have a degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 7 years of relevant experience, including 2-5 years in a managerial role. Strong technical skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience, with 2-5 years of managerial experience.
• Candidates must be resident in Malaysia or have the right to work in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director in advisory jobs related to direct or indirect tax.
• Attend to internal queries arising from the tax team.
• Conduct training on tax-related topics.
• Assist in tax-related publications and updates.
• Perform other official duties as assigned.

Job Brief

The position will support the Tax Directors in delivering advisory, providing technical expertise and developing training matters relating to both direct and indirect tax.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Director in advisory job replating to direct or indirect tax
• Attend to internal queries arising from the tax team
• Conduct internal and external training on tax-related topics
• Assist in tax-related publications and bulletins based on any tax updates / guidelines / gazette orders etc.
• Perform other official duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

• Recognised university degree and / or relevant professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Preferably a member of MIA/CTIM
• Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience, with 2-5 years of Managerial experience
• Strong technical ability, excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
• Self motivated, able to work independently and a good team player
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
