As a NPO Tactical Planning Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for leading a team of Supply Chain Professionals devoted to ensuring successful planning and execution of new products from the planning phase through production ramp. Members of this leader’s team will collaborate with the Business Units, Research and Development, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Managers to develop a plan that delivers high-quality samples on‑time to meet customer requirements and prepare the supply chain for high‑volume manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities
  • Engage early in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process to assess enterprise system solutions and master data gaps to support new products; coordinate solutions and report status.
  • Influence and guide planning teams to avoid or mitigate operations‑related risks and issues.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable for timely delivery of planning‑related information to Supply Chain and Manufacturing (demand, yields, milestones, sample requirements, etc.).
  • Produce and publish a build plan for Manufacturing and Procurement to execute.
  • Oversee operational readiness of the value chain and host cross‑department alignment forums.
  • Oversee samples process; drive team to deliver samples that meet specifications and customer timing expectations.
  • Develop and report performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Ability and willingness to perform the tasks described above as an acting Operations Lead.
  • Identify opportunities to mature NPI business processes or tools; drive consensus around the need for change and drive project through to completion.
  • Attract, develop, and retain talent to ensure the right skills and behaviors are in place to meet the business need.
  • Create alignment and accountability through clear goals that match team members’ contributions with goals and metrics.
  • Provide leadership to the team, communicate expectations, and deliver effective performance feedback.
  • Motivate team members to exceed expectations, to exceed their own perceived limitations, and to contribute to the team to make something extraordinary happen.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in supply chain, product introduction, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and enterprise systems.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with data analytics and performance metrics reporting.
  • Ability to drive change and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing or high‑tech product development is a plus.
