Job Description & Summary

As a risk management generalist at PwC, you will provide advisory and practical support to teams across a wide range of specialist risk and compliance areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the execution of QMSE review covering both ISQM 1 and QC1000 requirements, including planning, scoping, testing, and reporting on Member Firm's System of Quality Management (SoQM).
  • Develop, implement, and monitor periodic monitoring testing focused on firm’s SoQM.
  • Identify and assess risk areas, recommending improvements to firm’s SoQM and business processes.
  • Work directly with team members across SEAPEN (Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos) on the periodic testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firm leadership, R&Q, HC, L&E, Methods, CRS, EBCC etc to ensure integrated quality management.
  • Collaborate closely with QMSE Implementation Team and Quality Leader on the status of the review.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of the review to TAL, CRO, Assurance RMP, QL and QRL.
  • Prepare comprehensive periodic testing report results, and present findings and recommendations to Business Process Owners, Assurance Leadership and Firm Leadership team (eg. TSP and CRO).
  • Stay current with changes in quality management requirements on ISQM1 and QC1000 and best practices on testing.
  • Support the Member Firm on GAQ-I (QMR/EMA/Thematic Review) and regulatory (AOB/TH SEC/PCAOB) reviews, focusing on the periodic testing approach, documentation and results.
  • Mentor and develop junior audit staff to enhance team capabilities and knowledge.
  • Participate in GAQ-I reviews (eg. QMR or Thematic Review) to gain exposure and learn best practice from other network firms - SM and above only
Required training
  • Methodology - ISA and PCAOB Auditing Training (eg. Applying PCAOB Standard) with annual (eg. AQP and UCAAP) and quarterly update training (Quarterly Auditing Update)
  • Methodology – QMSE Periodic monitoring testing and documentation
  • Technical - ISQM1 and QC1000 training (in-house) and external (QMSE Office Hour and APAC R&Q Training)
  • Documentation platform training - Project Harmony training
Preferred Attributes
  • Background in risk assessment and internal control design particularly (with PCAOB experience as an added experience).
  • Agile in working with multiple stakeholders across the firm and other network firms.

Requirements
  • Degree in any discipline and/or a professional accounting qualification such as the ICAEW / ACCA / MICPA-CAANZ / CPA Australia.
  • Minimum 5 year of relevant experience in audit or risk management.
  • Able to demonstrate analytical thinking and business acumen.
  • A willingness to challenge points of views and opinion through presenting logical arguments.
  • Good communication skills and influencing skills with both peers and senior individuals.
  • Experience of managing people, workload and individual tasks.
