Job summary

A leading professional services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced candidate for a role within External Audit services. This position involves managing a portfolio of clients, participating in financial management, and engaging in business development activities. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Accounting, be ACA/CA/CPA qualified, and possess at least 6 years of relevant experience in audits. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. Up to 80% travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in statutory and regulatory audits.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory role experience.
  • Knowledge/experience of IFRS and US GAAP is preferable.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting with ACA/CA/CPA qualified or equivalent
  • Minimum6 years of relevant experience in statutory and regulatory audits, with 1-2 years of supervisory role
  • IFRS and knowledge/ experience of US GAAP is preferable
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess good leadership skills and demonstrate resilience
  • Demonstrate ability to build meaningful relationships
  • Posses good business acumen
