Manager – Recruitment and College Relations
The Manager – Recruitment and College Relations is responsible for planning, managing, and executing student recruitment strategies to achieve enrolment targets. This role oversees school engagement, outreach activities, partnerships, and public relations efforts that strengthen NKL’s visibility and credibility. The manager will lead recruitment initiatives, build strong relationships with schools, agencies, and community partners, and support marketing activities to drive continued student enrolment growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet enrolment targets across all intakes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with school counsellors, agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Plan and execute outreach activities: school talks, education fairs, roadshows, and community engagements.
- Work closely with PPD/JPN/KPM stakeholders for counsellors’ meetings, preschool networks, and district-level engagements.
- Coordinate with the marketing and admissions teams to ensure smooth lead management and conversion.
- Prepare recruitment reports, pipelines, and data analysis for management review.
- Conduct presentations on programmes, pathways, financial assistance, and NKL initiatives.
- Identify new recruitment channels, partnerships, and opportunities for market expansion.
- Support digital recruitment initiatives, including social media campaigns and online info sessions.
- Train, guide, and monitor staff involved in student recruitment and outreach tasks.
- Represent the college professionally to enhance brand visibility and institutional reputation.
Requirements / Person Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Education, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in student recruitment, marketing, or stakeholder relations (education industry preferred).
- Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships with schools, agencies, and education authorities.
- Results-driven, organised, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership experience with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Willing to travel and work on selected weekends for recruitment events.
- Possesses own transport and a valid driving licence.
