The Project Accountant Manager requires expertise in project accounting, with a focus on managing and overseeing revenue for financial projects. This position offers an opportunity to work in the industrial/manufacturing sector, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial operations.

Description

Your main job duties will include;

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for overseeing all aspects of project-related financial activities to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, including: reviewing project setups and approvals in the financial system, monitoring project progress for timely capitalization and accurate revenue recognition, handling intercompany billing and approving journal entries and reviewing and approving account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in finance, operations, and business units to process transactions, validate master data, and review project costs.
  • Provide guidance and support to resolve complex issues within the project accounting domain, identify potential risks, and implement remediation plans.
  • Analyze processes and identify improvements to address errors and close gaps, driving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely delivery of results by supervising team performance and meeting deadlines.
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, and fostering professional growth.
Profile

A successful Project Accountant Manager should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue principles and accounting standards.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
