Job description
Key Responsibilities

Environmental Compliance: Ensure company-wide compliance with global environmental regulations including RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Waste Framework Directive (WFD), PFAS, Prop 65, TSCA. Monitor and interpret evolving global environmental legislation and assess impact on products and operations. Represent the company in industry working groups, lobbying organizations, and regulatory forums. Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Lead cross-functional initiatives to implement sustainable product design and material compliance strategies. Collaborate with third-party service providers to leverage their tools and services for acquiring required documentation and data to support compliance efforts.

  • Responsible Minerals & Supply Chain Transparency: Oversee the collection, validation, and submission of responsible minerals reporting templates (CMRT, EMRT, AMRT). Collaborate with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely data submission. Engage with RBA and RMI to align with best practices and industry standards. Drive supplier education and engagement on responsible sourcing expectations.
  • Global Trade & Risk Compliance: Provide guidance on and ensure compliance with UFLPA, OFAC regulations, tariffs, sanctions, and export controls. Partner with legal and procurement teams to assess and mitigate supply chain risks. Maintain awareness of geopolitical developments and their implications on compliance and sourcing.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead and mentor a small team of compliance professionals. Set strategic direction and priorities aligned with corporate sustainability and compliance goals. Collaborate with global teams across engineering, procurement, legal, and operations. Serve as a subject matter expert and internal advisor on environmental and ethical sourcing matters.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in environmental compliance and/or responsible sourcing.
  • Deep knowledge of global environmental regulations and reporting frameworks.
  • Proven experience working with RBA/RMI and responsible minerals reporting.
  • Strong understanding of international trade compliance (UFLPA, OFAC, sanctions, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Preferred
  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., IEMA, LEED, CCEP, etc.).
  • Experience in the electronics, automotive, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Multilingual or experience working in diverse global environments.
Working Conditions
  • May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
  • Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
  • Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
  • May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive’s needs
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
  • Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
Safety Requirements

All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities. Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently. They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
