The Group Sourcing Manager leads and optimizes end-to-end procurement and sourcing strategies across multiple countries (Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Indonesia). The role focuses on driving cost competitiveness, strengthening supply chain resilience, and ensuring ESG-aligned sourcing. It also supports business diversification into Consumer Electronics, Medical Life Sciences, and Automotive/EV while building long-term supplier partnerships and contributing to CAPEX and technology investment decisions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Transformation
- Develop and execute Group-wide sourcing strategies to improve cost, quality, delivery, and risk control.
- Lead supplier consolidation and global/regional sourcing initiatives to improve competitiveness.
- Strengthen supply chain resilience in response to market shifts and customer needs.
Cost Competitiveness & Value Creation
- Lead annual cost-reduction programs with direct impact on profitability.
- Drive structured negotiations, supplier benchmarking, and TCO analyses.
- Support BU Heads in improving margins for Medical, EV, and box-build programs.
- Build and manage long-term strategic supplier partnerships.
- Enforce compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct and ESG standards.
- Conduct supplier audits in line with RBA requirements and customer compliance needs.
Cross-Site & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, finance, engineering, and BU teams to align sourcing strategies.
- Lead cross-country sourcing projects to leverage scale and harmonize contracts.
- Provide inputs for CAPEX, automation, and new technology vendor selection.
Process Excellence & Digitalization
- Implement digital sourcing tools and analytics for better transparency and performance tracking.
- Establish Group-wide sourcing KPIs (cost savings, OTD, quality, ESG compliance).
- Standardize procurement policies, workflows, and reporting across all sites.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 12+ years in procurement/sourcing, including 5+ years in regional or group leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost-down programs.
- Strong understanding of plastics, metals, resins, electronics, and automation procurement.
- Knowledge of ESG, RBA standards, and MNC customer audit requirements.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and cross-culture leadership capabilities.
- Analytical, data-driven decision maker capable of executing cross-border initiatives.
