OSK Holdings is looking for an experienced Group Legal Manager to support the Head of Legal to oversee and ensure that all legal functions are carried out efficiently and effectively and to ensure a smooth workflow within the OSK Group.

The Manager may spend a fair amount of time drafting and reviewing loan documentations, banking related advisory among others. Furthermore, the Manager will also be involved in developing and implementing updates/improvements on legal documentation, legal and risk compliance processes, legal strategies etc. to ensure that the business’s legal and overall objectives are updated and met and that management and departments are appraised on applicable new legislation, regulations and industry trends.

Responsibilities

To provide legal advice and support to the Group and Management on all legal, contractual and operational matters.

To draft, review, negotiate, finalize and advise on all transactional legal documents/agreements, in particular, those relating to commercial arrangements involving the Group, project management, land acquisitions, construction contracts, and tenancy agreements.

To oversee and manage the dispute resolution portfolio involving the Group of Companies and its officers and to supervise junior members of the team working on this portfolio.

To prepare the necessary reports and legal updates for consideration of senior management/Board of Directors.

To review and update, as and when necessary, the policies and procedures for Group Legal to ensure proper and efficient management of the Group’s legal matters and for mitigation of any legal and compliance risk.

To co-ordinate and work with external parties such as lawyers and other advisers on preparation of briefs and all relevant legal documents in connection with the dispute resolution portfolio.

To represent the Group in various legal/corporate exercises undertaken by or in which the Group and/or its subsidiaries or related companies are involved.

Observe and comply at all times with all Acts, laws, articles of association, rules and regulations pertaining to and/or affecting the Company’s business and be conversant with all statutory updates (where required) as may be introduced thereto.

Be familiar with and be able to update the Management on current Acts, laws, rules and regulations and all other statutory modifications and reenactments as may be introduced thereto.

Performing and coordinating ad hoc (legal) projects for the Group as required.

You’ll fit the role if you possess:

A practicing lawyer who possesses a Degree in Law (i.e. LLB).

Minimum 5-8 years of relevant legal working experience in consulting / corporate setting (Banking Advisory are required).

Exposure in Property & Construction will be highly preferred.
