About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager for Government Liaison Department at NAZA AUTOMOTIVE HOLDINGS SDN. BHD. in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This full-time role will be responsible for managing and maintaining strong relationships with key government stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to support the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with government officials, agencies, and regulatory bodies
  • Monitoring relevant government policies, regulations, and legislation, and advising the organisation on the implications and potential impacts
  • Representing the company's interests in meetings, negotiations, and public consultations with government entities
  • Coordinating and preparing submissions, proposals, and responses to government inquiries and requests
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the company's compliance with all relevant government regulations and requirements
  • Developing and implementing strategies to proactively engage with government stakeholders and influence policy decisions
  • Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on government relations activities and developments
What we're looking for
  • Significant experience (8+ years) in a government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs role, preferably within the automotive or a related industry
  • Thorough understanding of government structures, decision-making processes, and policy development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government officials
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and legislation
  • Proven track record of successfully navigating government bureaucracies and influencing policy decisions
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as public policy, business, or law
