An organization promoting business events in Sarawak seeks a Liaison Manager to manage relationships with government ministries and agencies. The role involves developing PR plans, ensuring corporate governance, and coordinating business events. Suitable candidates should have a degree in Business or related fields, with at least 6 years of experience. Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential.

Facilitate seamless and efficient management of relationships with various State and Federal government ministries and agencies to bolster the support for our BESarawak team and enhance our clients' engagement in Business Events activities.
Develop the yearly PR activity plan including an effective program of relationship management initiatives with the government agencies and resource/budget management.
Responsible for ensuring good corporate governance and delivery within budget of projects under the control of the government relationship.
Plan, co-ordinate and conduct the Business Events Sarawak Alliance (BESA) Initiative with all the existing partners and develops potential prospects.
Provide regular reports on key trends, focus and issues in the State & Federal government and make recommendations for improvement within the Bureau.
Develop, implement and manage strategies to maintain good relations with relevant officers in government agencies and ensure trust between both organizations.
Plan, co-ordinate and support bidding and business activities including obtaining support letters from government agencies in preparation and delivery of bid documents, supporting material, securing appointments and attend meetings and presentations, where applicable.
Assist in mindset changing of using Business Events for development of Sarawak by providing advice and guidance to State government agencies and Ministries on how they can maximise their success and returns from the convention activities.
Degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 6 years of working experience in Business or experience dealing with the government sector as a preference.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office) and business presentation skills.
Excellent communication or people skills.
Capacity and organisational ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse multi-tasked environment.
