Overview

The Manager, Financial Control will oversee financial management and reporting responsibilities in the Banking & Financial Services department. This role requires a solid understanding of financial processes within the business services industry to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Description

You'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial, management, and regulatory reports for and Overseas-based consolidated entities. Core responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting & Close (Month-End / Quarter-End)

• Execute day-to-day accounting activities and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare and post journal entries; maintain proper documentation.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure all balances are fully substantiated.
• Support attestation packages and balance sheet reviews.

Head Office & Regulatory Reporting

• Prepare monthly/quarterly head office templates and internal financial packages.
• Support various regulatory inquiries on reported balances.
• Assist in implementing new accounting standards and policy updates.

Audit & Controls

• Respond to audit queries and support annual financial statement audits.
• Coordinate footnote disclosures and audit documentation.
• Strengthen the control environment by maintaining/updating process documentation.

Financial Analytics

• Deliver monthly analytical reports to support global stakeholders.
• Perform deep-dive financial analysis to help senior management interpret results.

Other Responsibilities

• Review intercompany reconciliations and resolve breaks.
• Provide support across Financial Control and ad-hoc special projects.

Profile

A successful Manager, Financial Control should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent. Big 4 / Big 10 audit experience and/or exposure to the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage financial control processes effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
