Job Summary
  • To drive and implement EHS programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and KPIs.
  • Developing, leading, and promoting a proactive EHS culture across the organization that supports the intended outcomes of the EHSMS, emphasizing continuous improvement and the consultation and participation of all workers.
  • Taking responsibility and accountability for ensuring electrical safety before release to use.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of EHS management systems, awareness initiatives, data reporting, and risk management across global and regional operations.
  • Regularly reporting on EHS performance, including electrical safety metrics to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicating the importance of the EHS Management System (EHSMS) and its requirements to all workers through EHS activities, programs, and comprehensive training.
Job Scope

EHS Management and Compliance

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the EHS management system and achieving organizational sustainability goals.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits of the ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) management systems within the region.
  • Develop digital occupational health, safety, and environmental protection campaigns for the business unit, in collaboration with EHS leadership.
  • Collaborate actively with global and regional EHS teams to drive best practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Validate monthly and quarterly EHS performance data in the corporate EHS database Enablon.
  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including EHS leadership, employees, contractors, regulatory bodies, and certification bodies.
  • Manage and continuously improve the EHS management system, with a strong focus on occupational health, safety, and environmental protection.
  • Lead the implementation of key sustainability initiatives, including circular economy projects and waste minimization efforts, with the aim of achieving both significant environmental impact reduction and demonstrable cost savings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Engineering or Science or a related field.
  • Professional certifications ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor (IRCA) and SHO certified by DOSH.
  • Hands‑On Experience in international compliance standards - RBA (Responsible Business Alliance), SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit), WPA (Workplace Accountability Program), and SA8000 (Social Accountability Standard) and ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management Systems).
  • DOE Registered Competent person – CePSWaM and CePBFO.
Exposure
  • Solid knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with EHS data validation and reporting.
  • Creativity and communication skills for developing impactful digital safety and environmental campaigns.
  • Experience in project and/or organizational management.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in sustainability initiatives, including circular economy practices, waste reduction strategies, and cost‑saving projects.
  • Experience in energy management systems including the design, implementation, and monitoring of energy efficiency projects aligned to ISO 50001; added advantages.
  • DOE Registered Competent person – CePIETSO-PCP; added advantages.
Knowledge
  • Professional experience in EHS, ESG, or a comparable field, ideally in an international industrial environment.
  • In‑depth understanding of regulatory requirements for labor rights and standards, occupational health and safety, environmental sustainability, business ethics and EHS management systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in EHS culture, compliance, and operational excellence.
Skills
  • Strong leadership with proven ability to mentor, coach, and build high‑performance EHS teams across multiple countries.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to engage with senior leadership, regulators, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Creativity and advanced communication skills to design and deliver impactful digital safety and environmental campaigns, training programs, and awareness initiatives.
  • Proficiency in managing and auditing EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and /or ISO 50001.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and experience with EHS data validation and reporting.
  • Experienced in electrical safety risk identification, accident/incident investigation, and root‑cause analysis.
Abilities
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to engage with regional and site leaders.
  • Ability to translate strategic goals into operational EHS programs.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and regions.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Solid understanding of risk assessment methodologies e.g. HIRARC, Aspect Impact, LOTO, and implement safe work practices in workplace.

Authorization
  • Approve and implement regional EHS policies, procedures, standards, and corrective actions within the scope of the role.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to EHS leadership teams.
  • Exercise authority to suspend or stop operations where imminent or critical EHS risks are identified, until safe conditions are restored.
  • Represent the organization during regulatory inspections, customer audits, and external stakeholder engagements, with full authority.
