Job summary

Telekom Malaysia is seeking a CYDEC Tech Specialist Manager to bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy. You will lead a high-performing team delivering resilient cybersecurity solutions for TM’s enterprise customers.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Agile Squads, Sales, and Technology Partners to ensure product ecosystems, support structures, and platforms exceed market specs and meet AOP targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• Security Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or TOGAF are highly advantageous.
• Product/Agile certifications such as CSPO, PMI-ACP, or ScrumMaster are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the security technical product development team through testing, POCs, and feasibility studies.
• Review and develop test plans, use cases, work instructions, and user guides for cybersecurity products.
• Identify emerging cybersecurity threats and provide strategic security advisory during software, network, cloud, and data center projects.
• Maintain the Product Team’s POC environment, cloud/server resources, SIEM, and Vulnerability Management Systems.

Job description

As the CYDEC Tech Specialist Manager, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy. You will lead a high-performing team of technical and product specialists to deliver fully resilient cybersecurity solutions for TM’s enterprise customers.

Collaborating closely with Product Owners, Agile Squads, Sales, and Technology Partners, you will ensure our product ecosystems, support structures, and platforms exceed market specifications and meet our Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team & Technical Leadership: Lead and manage the security technical product development team through product testing, Proof of Concepts (POCs), and feasibility studies.
• Product Development & Testing: Review and develop comprehensive test plans, use cases, work instructions, and user guides to evaluate and enhance new and existing cybersecurity products.
• Threat Intelligence & Advisory: Identify emerging cybersecurity threats, conduct periodic system tests, and provide strategic security advisory during the development stages of software, networks, cloud, and datacenter projects.
• Ecosystem Management: Maintain the Product Team’s POC environment, cloud/server resources, SIEM, and Vulnerability Management Systems (VMS).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the go-to technical reference for security solutioning, working alongside Solution Consultants, Product Owners, Security Operation Centers (SOC), and Account Managers.
• Tenders & Innovation: Actively participate in technical discussions, agile squads, tender clarifications, and RFI/RFP exercises to drive product portfolio performance.

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline

Professional Certifications (Highly Advantageous)

• Security Management / Architecture: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or TOGAF.
• Product / Agile Methodology: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or ScrumMaster (CSM).
• Technical / Cloud Security: CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional), or equivalent vendor certifications (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Security).
