Job summary

Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad is seeking an experienced risk and credit professional to establish and strengthen underwriting standards for credit cards and personal loans, building robust controls to protect the bank’s interest while supporting business growth.

The role includes validating, evaluating and approving credit, continuously refining processes to reduce turnaround times, and monitoring reviews to identify weak credits for proactive remedial action.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement a structured Credit Card & Personal Loan credit underwriting standard, process and tools to assist in credit decision making and early identification of risk issues and building of appropriate controls / pre-emptive measures to ensure quality loans bookings to safeguard the Bank’s interest to contain credit provision / losses and support business growth.
• Establish, implement and monitor the robustness of credit validation, evaluation and approval process with continuous fine-tuning of process and performance monitoring to improve credit turnaround time.
• Establish, implement and monitor the robustness of credit review process with continuous fine-tuning of process to identify weak credits for proactive remedial actions
• Establish and implement a robust fraud detection / prevention framework to minimize fraud losses.
• To provide accurate information to management in order to assist in the making sound business decision
• To ensure optimum resource utilization with continuous process improvement / re-engineering initiatives for effective costs management, talent development and retention.
• To ensure Bank and regulatory policies and guidelines are being implemented and adhered to at all time.
