Manager, Credit Control Corporate Business Department

The Manager of Credit will oversee the credit evaluation, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of transactions. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Credit team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize credit evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Generate reports for daily monitoring.
• Present updates on the credit collection portfolio (e.g., receipt issuance, commission payment, reconciliation status) during weekly meetings.
• Prepare and present the reconciliation tracking report updates during monthly meetings with Credit Recoveries.
• Engage with the credit team from brokers via meetings or on-site visits to clear outstanding unmatched transactions on a monthly basis.
• Ensure premiums are collected within the required timeframe and that the provision of bad debts is minimized.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the immediate superior or Head of Department.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in credit management with at least 1 to 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment.
• Strong analytical background, proficiency in data reporting tools, and the ability to generate insightful reports that support strategic decision-making.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with the use of ChatGPT for task simplification.
