Manager – Business Development (Sterile Goods Management)

Position based in Kuala Lumpur, this role supports B. Braun’s mission to improve global health through innovation, efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, evaluate and pursue business development opportunities that support short‑ and long‑term business goals.
  • Negotiate and manage opportunities such as sales, projects, consulting engagements, partnerships, alliances, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Lead complex market research or analysis projects, prepare reports and recommend alternatives to senior management.
  • Establish long‑term relationships with potential clients, government and industry associations to promote the organisation’s products and services.
  • Lead meetings and negotiations with potential clients and partners to protect the organisation’s interests.
  • Refer sales leads and customer feedback to appropriate contacts and liaise with other functional areas to ensure follow‑up.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of business development analysts to ensure credible projects and accurate, timely recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree, preferably in business administration.
  • Experience selling and marketing surgical instruments and sterile containers.
  • Strong knowledge of CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department) process and workflow.
  • Experience in consultative selling of surgical devices.
  • Clear understanding of operating theatre processes for surgery and surgical instruments.
  • Experience in sales of power systems within the medical field.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the Asia‑Pacific surgical/medical device business landscape.
  • Proactive in identifying and seizing business opportunities.
  • Strong foresight into future market needs and demands.
  • Highly analytical health‑economic and value‑based marketing knowledge is an advantage.
