Job summary

Aon plc in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Manager for its Financial Services & Professional Group. This hybrid role supports the broking unit with transactional processing, policy issuance, and renewal activities while assisting in underwriting submissions and client risk advisory.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in insurance as broker/underwriter, strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, and a meticulous, proactive mindset to drive mid-sized scheme growth and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in any discipline, preferably in Law, Economics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or ACII.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the insurance industry as a broker and/or underwriter.
• Fluent in English and proficient in Bahasa Malaysia.
• Operationally efficient and meticulous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration and transactional processing of day-to-day broking unit duties.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of broking-related activities, including invoices and policies.
• Collect AMLA documents from clients and update relevant slips and reports.
• Support pre-renewal strategy meetings and underwriting submissions with the Line Manager.
• Provide risk advisory support on Financial Lines and Casualty insurance products.
• Conduct market research on products, trends, and proposals to enhance client offerings.
• Assist business development initiatives, roadshows, renewal retention, and scheme growth.
• Maintain filing records, assist claims handling, and prepare client updates and budget reports.

We're hiring! We are looking for a Manager to join our FSPG team in KL, Malaysia. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office.

What the day will look like

• To assist and provide support for:
• The smooth administration and transactional processing of the day-to-day duties of the Broking Unit.
• Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in processing broking-related activities, including but not limited to:
• Processing invoices within the required timelines.
• Issuing policies within the required timelines.
• Collecting AMLA documents from clients.
• Updating Summaries of Cover, Closing Slips, and RI Slips.
• Printing renewal reports, binding, and returning them to the servicing team.
• Following up on premium collections.
• Maintaining e-filing records in File Center.
• Performing other transactional duties as assigned.
• Assisting in pre-renewal strategy meetings with clients alongside the Line Manager.
• Assisting in the preparation of underwriting submissions and approaching insurance markets.
• Providing risk advisory support to clients on Financial Lines and Casualty insurance products.
• Conducting research on insurance products, market trends, claims analysis, and insurance proposals to further enhance Aon's offerings to clients.
• Assisting with business development initiatives and projects assigned by the Line Manager.
• Taking a leading role in managing mid-sized scheme business, including attending roadshows, supporting renewal retention, and driving business growth. Appropriate guidance and training will be provided.
• Complying with all internal and external timelines and KPIs in accordance with the goals and key responsibilities assigned.
• Assisting with claims handling and administration, including discussions with lawyers and insurers.
• Assisting in delivering Client Service Promise initiatives, client visits, and the preparation of quarterly client updates.
• Assisting in the preparation of account reporting and the annual budget exercise.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Qualifications

• Experience in scheme management and handling large, complex risks would be an added advantage.
