Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Port Klang is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment, implementing maintenance plans, and conducting daily inspections of electrical systems. Candidates should possess at least an SPM or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical with a minimum of 1.5 years of experience. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and the ability to work overtime may be required. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, with Saturday 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1.5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends if necessary.
• Able to solve machine or fixture issues at production lines.

Job description

The organisation is specialized in manufacturing high precision metal stamping parts for electrical and electronics industries. It is equipped with the latest high technology machines. In order to produce high quality products, all the staffs are trained to be highly skilful and competent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and undertakes hands on repair works for any issues relating to equipment/building premises/machine during the course of the daily work and report on any findings that require attention
• Implementation, execution and monitoring of all section facilities maintenance, installation and repairs
• Conduct daily inspection, monitoring and data collection on electrical facilities equipment and utilities consumption
• Helping develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department
• Maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies
• To ensure the design and the utilisation of the machines & equipment are made according with all the Safety features/regulation
• Carry out repairing and maintenance in compliance to standards set by principals & divisional Safety and Sustainability requirements
• To liaise with Maintenance Section or Engineer for maintenance plan and spare parts availability/replacement/controlling
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (landscaping, painting, carpentry, etc)
• To communicate with technicians for job schedule planning, equipment maintenance and repair job
• Carry out any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time
• To ensure 5S being carries out at workplace and follow Safety Rules & Regulation during work being carried out

Requirements

• Possess at least SPM or Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical or equivalent
• Minimum of 1.5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Good experience in power skill troubleshooting and repairing the machines in minor & major issue
• In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
• Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends if necessary
• Able to solve the route shift issue relate to machines or fixtures at production lines
• Basic computer knowledge Microsoft Word, Excel will be an added advantage
• Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
• Willing to work in Telok Gong, Port Klang
• Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8.00am to 5.30pm; Saturday 8.00am to 1.00pm
