Job description
Maintenance Technician (Plastic Welding)

Carry out routine maintenance on plastic welding machines (e.g., ultrasonic, hot plate, hot air) as per schedule to ensure equipment reliability.

Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical or basic electrical issues during machine breakdown.

Help align fixtures, verify heater and pressure settings and support machine readiness for production.

Clean and inspect welding jigs /fixtures; report any wear and misalignment to senior technicians.

Record PM checklists, downtime logs, and part replacement details accurately and on time.

Comply with LOTO and workplace safety practices; maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform overtime work when required by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: SKM or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical and Industrial Maintenance
  • 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in machine maintenance, with exposure to plastic welding machines (e.g., ultrasonic, hot plate, vibration)
  • Experience with PM checklists and basic work instructions
  • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Basic use of Microsoft Excel, Word & ability to interface with HMI/control panel display
