Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This role includes troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve card production machinery, including laminators, die‑cutting machines, printers, and embossing systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues on the production line to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the production team to implement process improvements and reduce waste.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and documentation for all mechanical systems.
  • Ensure that machinery and production equipment comply with safety standards and internal quality guidelines.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machines or upgrades.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for parts and technical support.
  • Carry out tasks as assigned by supervisors or as required by operational needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good attention to detail and eagerness to learn from senior staff.
  • Good understanding of production workflows and quality control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills (Optional)
  • Experience working with plastic card manufacturing equipment (e.g., Heidelberg, Matica, Datacard, etc.).
  • Understanding of ISO 7810/7816 card standards.
