Job Overview
To ensure all factory machineries and utilities are in optimal conditions at all times.
Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the maintenance department.
 
- Perform and ensure preventive maintenance activities are carried out according to the planned schedule.
 
- Establish and develop a maintenance skill matrix.
 
- Manage maintenance spare parts and tools inventories.
 
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
 
- Carry out machining, welding, and oxy‑cutting jobs as required.
 
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and ensure timely repair.
 
- Support installation and modification of machinery and equipment.
 
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards.
 
- Achieve assigned maintenance & operation KPIs and maintain the maintenance budget.
 
- Provide work direction to outside contractors and ensure their activities conform to procedures, technical standards, and safety.
 
- Provide 24‑hour emergency maintenance services.
 
- Complete all assigned maintenance service requests.
 
- Adhere to ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 practices and company safety rules & regulations.
 
- Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum certificate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
 
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
 
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or English.
 
- Able to work independently, be a self‑starter, and eager to learn.
 
- Willing to work overtime and weekends if required.
 
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to operate machines, hand‑tools, and plant equipment.
 
- Follow the directions of supervisors and senior colleagues.
 
- Basic knowledge of job procedures.
 
Working Conditions
Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, and machinery.
Use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel‑toe boots.
