Job summary

BD is a global leader in medical technology, seeking an engineering technician to monitor and maintain ventilation and HVAC systems at our Kedah Kulim location. The role involves ensuring clean air compliance, diagnosing faults, and supporting daily operations on site.

Candidates should have a Diploma or Certificate with relevant experience and be capable of mentoring junior technicians when required. This is an on-site opportunity within a major BD facility in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM with basic technical understanding of engineering systems.
• Diploma in related Engineering field or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Certificate in Engineering Drawing with 3 years working experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor air compressor and air condition to comply with clean air regulations.
• Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems and record instrument readings.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

• Monitor air compressor and air condition to comply with clean air regulations.
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Monitor and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC system
• Record instrument readings periodically.
• Carry out daily report & RM/PM.
• Daily maintenance of effluent pits, sand pits and pumps.
• Routine maintenance of the fire hydrant and fire hose.
• Supervise contractor / vendor works as assigned by the superior.
• Stock control of building maintenance materials and tools.
• Provide assistance to other staff whenever required.
• Perform and carry out other jobs as may be assigned by superior.
• Assist the superior in ensuring that all equipment under area of responsibilities is always operating in safe and efficient manner.
• Able to communicate efficiently across all levels / departments.
• Capable of playing mentoring role to technician and taking up leadership / Trainer roles whenever required.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum SPM
• Diploma in related Engineering field.
• OR Certificate in Engineering Drawing with 3 years working experience.
• 2-3 years working experience in related field.
