Job description

Performing scheduled and preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment and machinery

Diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing issues on electrical and mechanical jobs

Monitoring all maintenance work by sub-contractors including repair, installation, modification and repair works

Repairing or replacing malfunctioning parts and components as needed

Complying with and implementing all safety precautions and measures and being responsible for ensuring all work avoids hazardous conditions

Responding directly to the head of department and following instructions when there is a complaint about damage and reporting on the status of actions and improvements made

Ensuring daily maintenance works run smoothly with minimal complaints

Inspecting, recording and monitoring parts and ensuring stock is always sufficient at all times

Requirements and Skills

Certificate or Diploma in mechanical engineering

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment

Experience in packaging machine/industries will be an added advantage

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to quickly identify and resolve issues

Basic PLC system knowledge will be an added value

Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment

Able to work shifts, standby and work overtime
