JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform Preventive Maintenance
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on [equipment/facilities/systems] to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct inspections, lubrications, adjustments, and minor repairs according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
Troubleshoot and Diagnose Technical Issues
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, or operational problems with equipment or facilities or systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Execute Repairs and Replacements
- Perform repairs, replacements, or adjustments of faulty components to restore equipment or facilities or systems to operational status.
- Coordinate with vendors or procurement for the timely acquisition of replacement parts and materials.
Conduct Technical Testing and Calibration
- Calibrate instruments, tools, or machinery to ensure accuracy and reliability in operation.
- Conduct performance tests and evaluations to verify functionality and compliance with specifications.
Maintain Maintenance Records and Documentation
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and recommendations for improvements.
Ensure Safety and Compliance
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, regulations, and standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to equipment operation and maintenance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements or efficiency gains in maintenance procedures and practices.
Provide Technical Support and Training
- Offer technical guidance and support to colleagues, operators, or junior technicians on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
- Conduct training sessions or workshops to enhance team skills and knowledge in maintenance procedures.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the privacy and security of company data and information.
- Participate in company-provided learning and development opportunities.
- Keep all records and documentation accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and submit required reports to management.
- Support other departments when needed and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Actively participate in meetings, briefings, and training sessions.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and project milestones.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department or Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Mechanical & Electrical or a related field, or a Sijil Kemahiran Technical certification, is required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.
- The role requires the ability to develop clear technical documentation, user manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks or changes is expected.
- Work should be carried out in an organized, efficient manner while meeting tight deadlines.
