As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing all maintenance activities for machinery, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This includes managing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all machines, utilities, and production equipment.
- Carry out troubleshooting and corrective maintenance for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems.
- Monitor and analyze equipment downtime to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure spare parts inventory is well-maintained and readily available for critical equipment.
- Track and report key machine performance indicators (MTTR, MTBF, OEE).
- Lead initiatives to improve machine reliability and productivity through modification or process improvement.
- Support calibration, alignment, and re-commissioning of machines after major servicing.
- Lead or support new machine installation, relocation, or upgrading projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors on technical specifications, utility connections, and equipment commissioning.
- Review technical drawings, layouts, and ensure installations comply with safety and operational standards.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with EHS, DOSH, and electrical safety regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation machine service reports, PM records, checklists, and technical manuals.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance technicians.
- Liaise with equipment suppliers for technical support and spare part procurement.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronic / Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3–5 years in equipment or plant maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or machining environment
- Strong troubleshooting in mechanical, electrical & automation systems
- Familiar with CNC machine troubleshooting (Fanuc, Siemens,Haas etc.)
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits & controls
- Understanding of pumps, valves, rectifiers & ventilation systems
- Basic welding, fabrication, and mechanical fitting
- Problem-solving, planning, communication, leadership, and teamwork
