Job summary

A leading property services company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Maintenance Assistant / Handyman to support daily operations, including routine maintenance, minor repairs, and customer engagement. Qualifications

Overview

The Maintenance Assistant / Handyman is to fulfil and support the services, operations and processes that are the core business of Glomac Property Services Sdn Bhd / Kelana Property Services Sdn Bhd. The Maintenance Assistant / Handyman is responsible to assist the Building Management Team to carry out daily routine maintenance and preventive works on system and equipment related to operations of the building/property common area. The Maintenance Assistant / Handyman will take direct responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day maintenance of the site as well as championing change and new ways of working to ensure the highest level of efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Uphold Glomac’s Strategic Vision and Mission, and ensure the interest of the company at all times.
  • Carry out general maintenance and minor repair works at the common area and facilities on a regular and scheduled basis such as rectifying defects and faulty appliances, carpentry, flooring, painting, plumbing, roofing and windows and doors, toilets, fix minor electrical issues etc.
  • Assist the Technician / Wireman / Chargeman in any work that needs to be carried out as and when required.
  • Attend to daily meter reading of bulk meter and keep record of monthly SYABAS/ TNB meter reading.
  • Attend to minor hacking and plastering jobs at the common area.
  • Diligently perform, execute and carry out all assignments, instructions, ad-hoc assignments, duties or jobs assigned or instructed from time to time by the Technician / Wireman / Chargeman / Building Executive / Building Manager, Senior Manager and Senior Management.
  • Assure prompt handling of complaints/enquiries from owners/tenants.
  • Manage and ensure all complaints from clients and tenants are addressed and channelled to the party/parties concerned and resolved within the stipulated time.
  • Manage, execute and perform any and all instructions from the management, senior management and Board of Directors from time to time.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum SPM/Vocational Certificate or equivalent.
  • Good command of Bahasa Melayu / English.
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in building facility maintenance.
  • Basic computer skill for reporting using Microsoft based software (Word, Excel).
