Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe‑based applications using COBOL, CICS, and JCL.
• Develop and support applications handling VSAM and sequential datasets for batch and online processing.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and operations to deliver high-quality, secure and reliable solutions.
• Provide production support and perform root-cause analysis for incidents and defects.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe‑based applications using COBOL, CICS, and JCL.
• Develop and support applications handling VSAM and Sequential datasets for batch and online processing.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and operations to deliver high‑quality, secure and reliable solutions.
• Provide production support and perform root‑cause analysis for incidents and defects.
• Ensure adherence to established change management and quality assurance standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for all developed components and system enhancements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend optimizations for mainframe application performance.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in mainframe application development and support.
