Job summary

SGS in Selangor is seeking a Machinery Safety Engineer to support its new System & Process Safety service. The role involves conducting machinery safety assessments, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with DOSH requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and familiarity with ISO safety standards. Relevant experience in manufacturing environments is a plus, along with the ability to travel for assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Registered Machinery Safety Competent Person under DOSH required.
• Familiarity with ISO 12100:2010 and ISO 13849 is needed.
• Relevant experience in machinery safety assessment and manufacturing safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct machinery safety assessments and evaluations.
• Prepare and sign-off safety assessment reports.
• Evaluate machinery hazards and recommend risk reduction measures.
• Provide technical advice on safety standards.
