Job summary

OneJar in Malaysia is seeking a highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our fintech-focused team. You will design, implement, and deploy ML models and AI agents, leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, and Databricks to meet business and product needs.

You will collaborate with data engineering, product, and management to deliver scalable ML solutions, ensure data quality and governance, and drive production deployments with strong Python and ML libraries.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python skills with ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras).
• Proven experience developing and deploying LLM-powered agents with multi-step reasoning.
• Hands-on experience with RAG architectures and MCP.
• Strong proficiency in Databricks for ML workflows, training, and deployment.
• End-to-end experience deploying ML models and AI agents to production.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with NLP, transformers, and predictive analytics models.
• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
• Fintech or financial services background strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
