A leading engineering consultancy firm in Malaysia is seeking an Inspector of Works. This role involves monitoring quality control of contractors, administering daily tasks between consultants and contractors, and preparing regular reports. Candidates should have a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience in railway projects. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu is essential. The position is based in Kemasik and ITT Gombak.
Monitoring quality control of Contractor’s performance with respect to specified materials, workmanship and construction methods, witness and sign off all inspection forms.
Administering day to day matters arising between Consultant and Contractor on unspecified elements of works.
Providing regular reports on findings and M&E site activities to all parties.
Maintaining material records on progress of the works.
Directing the Contractor on variation to details previously issued by Consultants.
Directing the Contractor on rectification works not complying with Consultant’s specified requirements and issue NCRs/ Site Memo.
Coordinating and assisting the Design Office Team Leader/ Project Engineer/ Resident Engineer in the performance of site technical duties.
Verify progress claim.
Signing CCC forms.
At least a Diploma, Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical) or equivalent.
Must register with the BEM as Inspector of Works/ Graduate Engineer in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of working experience as Inspector of Works/ Clerk of Works in a consulting engineering firm in railway project (highlight your experience to us!)
Required language: English, Bahasa Melayu
6 working days weekly
