Job Responsibilities
  • Assigned to clinical studies to manage import/export activities for the assigned countries, assume Importer of Record (IoR) and/or Exporter of Record (EoR) responsibilities as contracted.
  • Process daily import/export shipments in compliance with the country specific logistics guide. This includes shipment invoice review and approval, instruct Customs brokers and freight forwarders on the clearance of import/export transactions, keeping track of shipment statuses and documentation according to company SOP.
  • Support import/export license management, tracking the validity of the licenses as applicable.
  • Develop and maintain country specific logistics guidance documents. Act as country SME on country specific import/export requirements.
  • Involved in logistics/custom broker vendor management as applicable.
  • Author the development of study specific Clinical Trial Supplies Plan for logistics only studies as assigned.
  • May lead a team of other Logistics Supply Chain Coordinator to support large or complex projects.
Qualification Requirements (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Logistics or equivalent experience in lieu of formal bachelor’s degree.
  • Registered pharmacist in Malaysia will be highly considered.
  • Working experience in supplies/logistics management, preferably in Pharmaceuticals, Medical Device & Clinical Supplies Experience in a contract research organization (CRO), pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company preferred.
  • Basic logistics cold chain experience.
  • High level of competence in English language.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications.

Summary

Responsible for the import and/or export logistics management of clinical trial supplies as assigned to a project. Ensure importations and exportations are conducted in accordance with the rules and regulatory requirements of global customs and other applicable governmental agencies. The Senior Logistics Supply Chain Coordinator operates independently, with minimal day-to-day oversight, and may co-ordinate the activities of other Logistics Supply Chain Coordinator.
