Responsibilities
- Familiar with logistics operations for lithium-ion battery shipments via land, sea, and air transport. Expertise in freight allocation rules and insurance liability under various trade terms: EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP, and DDP.
- Responsible for booking ocean and air freight for FOB, CIF, DAP, and DDP lithium-ion battery exports.
- Execute SAP split shipments, coordinate container loading at factory and handle exceptions.
- Follow up on maritime declarations, provide DG FORM and SI supplementary documents, confirm ocean and air waybills, process DDP overseas tax payment applications, and recover POD after overseas delivery completion. Upload POD to SAP for revenue confirmation.
- Handle export dangerous goods packaging certificate applications for sea, air, and land transport. Possess extensive experience in identifying performance specifications for UN-certified lithium-ion battery packaging cartons and parameters on battery certification documents.
- Lead the logistic team and act as a subject matter expert of logistics related issues, and provide guidance to the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Logistics, International Trade or relevant major.
- Proficient in computer operations, Excel functions, cost data analysis, and creating reports with PowerPoint.
- Familiar with SAP, Cloud Customs, and WMS systems.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics or international trade roles; certification as a Customs Broker or Logistics Specialist preferred.
- Fluent spoken English and Mandarin. Mandarin is necessary as employee is required to communicate with Chinese stakeholders.
- Proficient in LMW application process and COO process.
