Job summary

A logistics solutions provider located in Klang City is seeking an experienced logistics specialist responsible for managing custom clearance processes and forwarding activities. Candidates should have 3-5 years of logistics experience, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with customs declarations. This role requires the ability to multi-task and a willingness to work half-day Saturdays.

Job description

The company is a Singapore based company, offering a one-stop total logistics solutions.

Its expertise includes – Airfreight & Seafreight (Import & Export), Transhipment Cargoes, Consolidation Services, Custom Brokerage, Warehouse, Distribution & Packing Services, Projects & Exhibition Cargoes, Cargo Insurance and Warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Declaration for Import & Export ( K1,K2,K3,K4,K8,K9,ZB1,ZB2)
• Handle all custom formalities with customs and other authorities with regards to custom clearance.
• Manage forwarding activities and ensure that import and export goods are cleared in a timely manner.
• Monitor and update containers through the port system
• Experienced in EDI, Dagang Net and Port VGM submission
• Liaise with clients and agents with proper HS codes and advices duty/tax amount upon enquiry.
• Provide timely report and appropriate analysis
• Ensure proper documentation filling and system update
• Handle any task assigned by immediate superior or company management from time to time

Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least SPM, Diploma or Advanced / Higher/ transportation or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years (s) of working experience in logistics.
• Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Possess problem solving skills
• Meticulous and able to multi-task
• Familiar with customs declaration
• Required skill(s): Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, self-disciplines, computer literate, presentation preparation and report.
• Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage)
• Willing to work half day on Saturday
• Willing to work in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang
