About the Client

Our client is a well-established manufacturer with a strong presence in the Malaysian market. They are a large-scale company that has grown significantly, seeking a Logistics Executive to manage operations.

About the Role

The Logistics Executive will be responsible for managing and improving the efficiency of the day-to-day logistics operation. This is a crucial role that involves monitoring daily deliveries, ensuring goods are delivered on time, and solving any issues that arise. You will develop and implement strategies for the efficient distribution of goods and will be responsible for sourcing transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring the movement of goods and ensuring they are delivered on time.
  • Solving logistics issues as and when required.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for the efficient distribution of goods.
  • Working with other departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Liaising with internal departments and external parties to resolve issues.
  • Updating and compiling logistics-related reports.
  • Verifying the process and documentation of the logistics department.
  • Ensuring the Logistics Department complies with ISO/FSSC requirements and all logistics activities are always in line with logistics policy.
  • Managing logistics procurement and transportation sourcing.
About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic logistics team within the company, and work closely with other internal departments and external parties to ensure seamless operations and delivery.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Education: A Diploma is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required. This experience should include transport coordination and delivery planning, ERP/WMS system usage, vendor and stakeholder communication, logistics cost control and reporting, and problem-solving in supply chain disruptions.
  • Key Competencies: You must have strong coordination and multitasking abilities, excellent problem-solving skills for logistics issues, and expertise in optimizing routes and costs. Proficiency in systems and a focus on accuracy in documentation and planning are essential. You should also be skilled in dealing with transporters, suppliers, and internal teams, and have strong time management and regulatory knowledge.
