Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Logistics Assistant at a large warehouse.
- Sound knowledge of shipping processes and metrics.
- Ability to handle and maneuver fragile stock with ease.
- Strong communication, memorization, and teamwork skills.
- Outstanding organizational and investigative abilities.
- Capacity to perform your duties diligently, particularly during stressful periods.
- Physically fit and mobile.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure Compliance
- Carry out all logistics activities in line with company policies, quality management procedures, health and safety standards, and statutory regulations.
Follow Quality Directives
- Adhere to instructions and standards set by the Quality Department to maintain product and process integrity.
Verify Deliveries and Coordinate
- Collaborate with Receiving and QA/QC personnel to confirm that equipment and materials delivered by vendors match the purchase order in terms of quantity and quality.
- Facilitate both incoming and outgoing shipments for factory operations, projects, and non-project-related logistics.
- Work closely with transporters, forwarders, warehouse staff, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Regularly update Procurement PICs on the status of shipments and deliveries to maintain transparency and coordination.
Shipment Records
- Track and oversee the movement of goods across borders to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
- Update delivery and arrival dates in relevant files to keep logistics data current and accessible.
- Generate necessary documentation for customs declaration and clearance, including Delivery Orders, Invoices, and Packing Lists.
- Coordinate and oversee packing activities for finished goods to ensure proper handling and readiness for shipment.
- Record receipt of shipments, prepare goods for shipping, and assist with loading/unloading trucks or containers when needed.
- Monitor and coordinate pickup and drop-off schedules to maintain efficient shipment flow.
- Assist with any other logistics or shipping-related tasks as required to support the department.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the superior to meet evolving business needs.
