An agriculture company in Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee operational logistics, manage transport schedules, and promote safety across teams. The role requires experience in logistics management and effective communication skills. Responsibilities include managing customer orders, overseeing transport maintenance, and liaising with various stakeholders. Candidates should be proactive problem solvers, ensuring quality and efficiency in logistics operations.
1. Manage the customer’s order schedule;
2. Oversee the transport maintenance and repair, periodical renewal of road tax, licensing and upkeep to ensure uninterruptable delivery;
3. Liaise with sales personnel and contract farm/ supplier for loading arrangement;
4. In-charge scheduling transportation and goods delivery in the event of absence of Senior Executive/ Executive;
5. Responsible to make general transportation arrangement for office, farm and workers;
6. Responsible for the quality and quantity of catching and loading;
7. Coordinate with relevant department to improve and solve the causes of defect;
8. To promote safety awareness among the teams;
9. Control and monitoring of department expenditure and cost;
10. Responsible for design and assign subordinates job functions;
11. Responsible for vehicle accident and reporting;
12. Manage logistic warehouse and vehicle to ensure safety;
13. Accept additional assignment when the needs arise.
Authorities:
1. Review transport and delivery planning;
2. Approve on subordinates leave application;
3. Review and handle subordinate performance, training needs and disciplinary issue.
4. Approve on purchase of RM3,000.00 and below per transaction.
