Responsibilities

Location: Gelang Patah, Johor, Malaysia

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from various systems (SAP, TMS, WMS, Freight Audit platforms, etc.) to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to support logistics and supply chain performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.

Dashboard Development:

  • Design, develop, and enhance dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against strategic and operational goals.
  • Provide regular analytical updates and reports to the APAC Senior Logistics Manager and other key stakeholders.
  • Data Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability by implementing robust quality assurance measures.
    • Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies.

Strategic Support:

  • Assist in developing and executing strategies to improve performance, cost efficiency, and service levels within the APAC logistics organization.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc analyses to support data‑driven decision‑making across logistics operations.
  • Support regional and global logistics projects to drive continuous improvement, best practice sharing, and process standardization.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Effectively communicate data‑driven insights and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with logistics, finance, procurement, and IT teams to align analytics efforts with broader organizational objectives.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably within Logistics area
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI preferred) and data analysis and manipulation tools (Alteryx (preferred), Python, R).
  • Strong SAP knowledge on logistic/inventory workstream, including WMS/ TMS/ Freight Audit platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Preferred Characteristics
  • Experience in understanding issues, analyzing data, deriving conclusions, developing practical solutions and supporting their implementation
  • Experience in accessing, querying, and manipulating data within ERP systems and enterprise applications, e.g., SAP, WMS
  • Strong work ethic and motivation, extremely high ownership, low ego (getting things right vs. being right), no‑nonsense attitude and “work hard, play hard” mentality
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and projects with different stakeholders; Excellent prioritization skills and “nose for value” that focuses efforts on the highest ROI work
